Name the missing evidence
A paper listing may provide grammage, but that field alone does not tell this reference how a particular gel pen and highlighter behave together on it. We have not tested bleed-through, feathering, show-through or drying on a named paper. We therefore do not publish a minimum paper-weight rule that guarantees compatibility with the listed products.
Keep paper identity specific
Record the actual paper product, surface description and intended task rather than keeping only a number. Coated forms, labels and notebook sheets are different selected surfaces. The pen maker product statement remains a product statement; it does not become a universal approval for every sheet sharing the same nominal grammage.
A practical comparison record
If you perform a private comparison, keep pen model, ink color, paper identity, marking sequence and elapsed time together. Label the result as that observed setup rather than a universal ranking. We supply no result from such a test here. A blank paper swatch or generic image is editorial art, not evidence that a selected ink leaves no marks on the reverse.
A bounded purchase decision
For a large office or study order, check whether the actual paper or form supplier specifies an accepted pen type. If behavior on a particular sheet is essential, seek a relevant sample or documented supplier information before buying a bulk pack. The unit-price tool can compare costs but cannot fill in missing surface-performance evidence.
What a paper claim would need
A claim that a particular pen does not bleed through a named sheet would need evidence for that exact setup and a defined observation. The paper weight by itself is not that observation. No public image on this site shows the reverse of an actual test sheet or establishes how the selected ink behaved.
Use cost tools after suitability
Once the actual surface requirement is resolved, you can compare confirmed prices and quantities. Keep the unresolved paper pairing out of any quality ranking. The purchase cost tool does not read paper specifications, estimate ink absorption or convert a grammage value into a compatibility score; its output is limited to your entered order arithmetic.
Before you decide
- Keep the exact selected SKU, color and selling unit
- Check current maker scope and the actual seller offer
- Separate your assumptions from measured performance
