On November 4, 2026, the current Pentel US product feed and direct page capture showed SXS15-G yellow at $1.79 for one highlighter. The yellow four-pack SXS15BP4G was $7.17 per pack. Dividing $7.17 by 4 gives $1.7925 per highlighter before delivery and tax. That is slightly above four singles at $7.16, not proof of a bulk saving.

Normalize without hiding cents

Displaying both unit prices to two decimal places rounds each to $1.79 and can hide the quarter-cent difference. Our cost tool retains four decimal places for the per-item calculation and displays total quantities separately. A one-cent merchandise difference is not a practical delivered-price conclusion until shipping, tax and any verified discount are included.

Compare the selected colors

The four-pack also has an assorted option, which is a different color distribution from four yellow items. A lower price per total item does not supply four yellow highlighters if the selected pack contains an assortment. Keep the selected variant and confirmed per-color counts beside the comparison. The allocation planner needs the count of the required color, not merely all objects in a pack.
