The verified liquid-gel example

The selected BL77 and LR7 pages identify liquid-gel ink. This lets us describe the product family; it does not establish waterproofness, archival suitability, washability or a measured drying interval. The official page performance language is attributed to the maker, not transformed into our own paper test or a guarantee for every document.

A highlighter is another product

SXS15 is a named highlighter with SLR3 highlighter refills. Pentel also sells other marker families, but a shared brand or similar housing does not make those inks interchangeable. Do not replace a highlighter cartridge with a permanent-marker cartridge because both names contain Handy-line S. The exact highlighter relationship is the one established in this record.

Missing performance fields stay missing

When a task needs an exact permanent, washable, lightfast or surface-use claim, look for that claim on the selected model label or maker instructions. If it is absent here, leave the field unverified. We do not derive a solvent type or hazard statement from ink color, odor language, a translucent barrel or a generic pen photograph.

Build the right purchase line

Record body model, refill family, ink color, intended surface and any required institutional specification before comparing cost. A verified low price can be useful after the selected product fits the task. It cannot substitute for a missing document requirement or prove that an ink behaves the same on coated paper, labels, forms and ordinary notebook pages.

Keep a requirement column

In a comparison sheet, put required properties in their own column before filling in product facts. For example, if a task requires a documented permanent ink, mark that requirement explicitly. The liquid-gel label alone does not fill it. This avoids choosing from a generic ink-family name and discovering the missing field only after purchase.

Do not infer composition from the name

This research does not publish a solvent composition or complete chemical formulation for either selected family. Terms such as liquid gel, highlighter and low odor do not supply those details. For handling or labeling questions, consult the exact product instructions and maker information rather than treating a descriptive catalog phrase as a technical formula.

Before you decide

  • Keep the exact selected SKU, color and selling unit
  • Check current maker scope and the actual seller offer
  • Separate your assumptions from measured performance
