Save two different identifiers

The pen body and its replacement cartridge have different codes. For the observed black EnerGel example, BL77-A identifies the complete pen and LR7-A identifies the selected black refill. Save both rather than writing only black 0.7 mm. For Handy-line S highlighter, keep SXS15 with the appropriate SLR3 color variant as a separate relationship.

A practical record format

A useful record contains body family, selected color, existing cartridge identifier, declared point or tip form, purchase date and source link. You can keep it with the package or your own stationery inventory. The site does not upload or store your record. Do not use a generic illustration to fill a code you cannot read on the actual item.

Unknown is a valid result

If the body code is missing, the finder should return unverified instead of a confident guess. A refill with a similar overall appearance can differ in ways not established by its photo. This reference does not measure cartridge dimensions or advise trimming, spring changes or other modifications. Ask the manufacturer about the exact body before buying.

Use the source again

When reordering, reopen the maker statement and selected seller offer. Confirm that the listing is a refill rather than a complete pen, and that the color and pack count are correct. A retained old price is a dated observation, not a current quote. Our fit relationship is documentary evidence, not a physical insertion test of your specific body.

Keep old and new packages distinct

A retained original sleeve can help identify a later purchase, but it is not proof that a newly selected listing has the same count or price. Record the new offer separately with its current SKU and date. If a listing combines several color options, confirm the selected variant rather than relying on the page first image.

A low-cost record avoids a guess

You do not need a performance score to keep body and cartridge identifiers together. The point is to preserve exact documentary information for reordering. If the code remains unreadable or uncertain, write unknown and ask the maker. A guessed code in a tidy inventory is less useful than an honest unresolved entry.
